2005 Request for Proposals
- Released: October 8, 2004
- Amount: $4.5 million in Environmental Improvement and Restoration Funds and other funds available to NPRB for research projects starting in 2005.
- Priorities: The 2005 priorities related directly to the Board’s draft science plan and associated implementation plan and encouraged proposals with the use of Local and Traditional Knowledge (LTK).

- Amount: more than $24.5 million by Dec. 9, 2004
- Evaluations: Technical evaluations occurred in early 2005; 264 reviews were obtained. The Science Panel met in Anchorage on March 2-4 to review proposals and evaluations, and presented funding recommendations to the Board at its meeting on March 15-17.
- Funded: $5,962,304 for 35 research projects
The Board's recommendations for 2005 were approved by the Secretary of Commerce acting through his designee, the Alaska Regional Administrator for NOAA Fisheries.
