Science Plan
The Board sought guidance from the National Research Council (NRC) to help it develop a science plan for the North Pacific, Bering Sea and Arctic Ocean regions. The Science Plan charts a course for the next ten to 20 years.
The Plan ...
- identifies themes that encompass the interactions of all life (including human) with the ocean
- is dynamic and adaptable to new research and monitoring findings
- is consistent with the vision, mission and goals of the Board and its enabling legislation
- builds on the research programs of governmental and academic entities
