Announced: 2017 Core Program Request for Proposals Released

The North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) announces the release of its Core Program Request for Proposals (RFP). The 2017 RFP has an anticipated funding amount of $4.55 million. This RFP is similar in form and content to past NPRB RFPs, with research categories structured around the 2005 NPRB Science Plan. Please consult the 2017 RFP for further details on research priorities for this year. Proposals must be submitted online in accordance with instructions in the RFP.

What’s New for 2017

Proposal Caps. Individual proposals may not exceed the total funds indicated in the selected research category, with the exception of Fishes and Invertebrates ($500,000 proposal limit).

Outreach Requirement. Applicants have the opportunity to submit a companion Outreach proposal for additional funding up to $15,000. For more details, click here.

Project Search & Database Tool. Access NPRB's newly designed feature to provide scientific information about our funded projects in the Core Program. Every project NPRB has funded through the Core Program since 2002 has been uploaded to this database.

Updated Publication Library. Over 600 peer-reviewed publications have been produced from NPRB research. Our new library has been redesigned and recently updated. Click to view the library.
