COVID-19 Pandemic: NPRB Organizational Update
By now, many of you have either been ordered to stay home in the United States and abroad or are practicing good social distancing measures on your own. Businesses large and small are, and will continue to be, impacted during these times. The North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) is no different. We wanted to reach out to our colleagues and provide an update on how NPRB will be operating in the near future.
Office Closed Until Further Notice
Following guidelines by the CDC, the state of Alaska, and the municipality of Anchorage, NPRB offices (Suite 100, 1007 West 3rd Ave, Anchorage, AK) will remain closed until further notice. The health and well-being of our staff and their families are our top priority.
We Are Still Here For You
We are still here for you despite our physical office closure. Staff will be working remotely during this time. We recognize that many of you depend upon NPRB whether it is for scientific funding or other support. Despite our office closure, we want to assure you that NPRB will try to maintain normal operations as seamlessly as possible during these next several weeks. Our regular meetings with the Board, Science, and Advisory Panels have been updated for telecommuting options but without compromising the scientific integrity and rigors of our proposal review process.
We want to thank you all for your patience and contributions to help “flatten the curve” of the coronavirus pandemic. We also want to recognize the incredible healthcare professionals who are working around the clock and equally wish those who are sick a speedy recovery.
Stay tuned to NPRB’s website and social media channels for organizational updates.
